By far my first choice out of all the Cafés in the area-I love this place! Incredible value, (approximately: $2.80 for 20oz, add on's included I believe-) especially considering it is top-notch coffee they serve. I had it plain, and was some of the best flavour I have ever enjoyed. And I have seriously had a lot of (and many different kinds of) coffee: absolutely delicious! <3 The first thing I noticed when I stepped foot in Shone's Cafe was the ultra-welcoming staff. I want to stress the fact they are all extra kind and very hospitable-which was so nice to feel. It comes across very clearly how much they genuinely enjoy their craft and are happy to share their wonderful makings! They even have some vegan (among many other) treats available. The inside itself is very relaxing and there are many tables to choose from (with lots of handy electrical outlets next to them). Kind of tucked in, it tends to be calmer, and have more of a cozy feel which I love. 10/10 from me, and I could not suggest this place enough!
Cute little cafe! I love all the artwork of places around the valley. Creates a fun guessing game while you wait for your food. The sandwiches were great. Service was good and wasn't that busy when we went.
Shones coffee shop is to my go place now before I head to work, great customer service, great coffee so many options to choose from. Baristas are so friendly and very good with your dietary choices. The vibe of the place is very calming and positive. I love how they always have smile on there face when they greet you at the counter.
Went there a couple of time. To start, the general looks of the coffee shop is pretty normal , lots of chairs and table. There is plugs for charging your computer and phone. I would say the wifi is not the best. I use the one from the other store close to it. The matcha and mocha are good. They have vegan milk available, which is nice. The workers seems to have a good time working over there. Which is nice, but sometimes they may forgot there is some client waiting at the front. To my eyes I don’t mind waiting a little bit. It’s not everyone who’s patient and kind. In generals, I think they offer a pretty good service and choice of meal/drink. The ambiance, may need a little bit of love. It’s still lovely and cozy!
Nice little shop! Had the turkey ranch bagel i think it was called but whatever it was it tasted so nice! It was a little expensive but i didnt mind after eating it I cannot believe how yummy it was. My iced coffee was lovely and the environment is very comforting. A nice break from the traffic and craziness of downtown courtenay. Thank you I'll be back!
A small coffee shop that is usually quiet, making a great place to meet with friends. A basic sandwich and desserts menu compliment the great coffee. Always a smile at the register. The Wi-Fi is very strong, ask for the password.
Cozy spot! Love the light fixtures. Lots of classic cafe options including snacks and sandwiches. The espresso is italian-style (it actually tastes like coffee), good place for a quick date, or a lunch break
Love the cozy vibes here & their Americanos are perfect The baristas are so warm and friendly, and they clearly know what they're doing! The decor is also just so understated and lovely. Definitely my new favourite hangout spot on 5th st!
